Consult with Dr. Shin, ND
Dr. Phoebe Dajin Shin is a licensed and board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a special interest in hormonal health, gut health, metabolic optimization, mind-body medicine, and long-term wellness. She earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pepperdine University. Her approach combines comprehensive laboratory evaluation with nutrition, lifestyle medicine, targeted supplementation, and other evidence-informed strategies to understand the whole person—not simply an isolated symptom.
At VitaMed LA, Dr. Shin plays an integral role in our Preventative Health & Wellness Program, working with patients to interpret laboratory findings in the context of their medical history, symptoms, lifestyle, and long-term goals. She provides comprehensive wellness consultations and develops individualized plans that may address areas such as hormonal and perimenopausal health, metabolic health, digestive wellness, sleep, stress, nutrient status, healthy aging, and overall longevity. Her goal is to help patients better understand their health, identify areas that may benefit from additional support, and create realistic, personalized strategies for lasting wellness.
How it works
VitaMed LA Preventative Health & Wellness Program — $375
Step 1: Health Assessment & Clinical Review
Begin by completing our comprehensive health assessment so we can better understand your medical history, current concerns, medications and supplements, lifestyle, and wellness goals.
Our clinical team will review your responses and determine which laboratory testing may be most appropriate for you.
The $350 program fee is collected before laboratory orders are placed.
Step 2: Personalized Laboratory Testing
Once your laboratory recommendations have been determined and your program fee has been received, our team will coordinate your lab orders.
You may have your blood drawn at our BevMed LA office for a $50 blood draw fee, or we can send your laboratory order to a local Quest Diagnostics location for your convenience.
Laboratory testing costs are separate from the program fee and may vary depending on the tests ordered and your insurance coverage.
Step 3: Comprehensive Wellness Consultation
When your laboratory testing is coordinated, we'll schedule your 40-minute comprehensive wellness consultation for approximately one week after your blood draw, allowing time for your results to be received and reviewed.
Meet virtually or in person with Dr. Dajin Shin, ND to review your laboratory results in detail and discuss your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. You'll receive an individualized wellness plan with recommendations tailored to your needs.
Step 4: Included Follow-Up
Your program includes a 20-minute follow-up visit within 12 weeks of your initial consultation to assess your progress, answer questions, and make adjustments when appropriate.
Your $375 program fee includes: clinical review of your health assessment, individualized laboratory recommendations, a 40-minute comprehensive wellness consultation with Dr. Shin, your personalized wellness plan, and one 20-minute follow-up visit within 12 weeks.
Laboratory testing, blood draw fees, medications, supplements, and additional treatments or services are separate.
Your Personalized Wellness Plan
Based on your health history, laboratory results, symptoms, and goals, Dr. Shin will develop individualized recommendations designed to support your overall health and long-term wellness. Your plan may include nutrition and lifestyle strategies, targeted supplementation, hormonal or metabolic support, and additional wellness therapies when appropriate.
Supplement Recommendations
VitaMed LA provides guidance on evidence-based oral supplements using brands we have carefully vetted for quality, purity, and bioavailability. Supplements may be purchased through the VitaMed LA shop or independently, based on patient preference.
Peptide Protocols
When appropriate, individualized peptide protocols are offered and may be provided to patients nationwide, with peptides shipped directly to the patient and education provided as part of care.

In-Office & Mobile IV Nutrient Therapy
When appropriate, your personalized wellness plan may include IV nutrient therapy to support hydration, nutrient repletion, energy, recovery, and overall wellness.
IV therapy is available at our BevMed LA Beverly Hills location as well as through VitaMed LA’s mobile service, giving patients the flexibility to receive treatment in-office or in the comfort of their home. In-office IV therapy may offer a more cost-effective option, while mobile services provide added convenience.
